My "Likkle" story....
When I began making handmade soft crochet toys for family and friends many years ago, the generous and positive feedback I received made me feel that I could make more wonderful toys that could be part of peoples lives, bringing happiness with a squidgy touch of the tactile material and quirky & funny expressions to bring a smile!

I like to produce season themed handmade crochet items, everything from Xmas Trees, Glitterballs, Snowman and even Xmas Gonks!

UKCA Compliant!
I, like many other soft toy manufacturers, began as I enjoy what I do, the joy of seeing others enjoying my artisan creations.

The law however, is strict on ensuring that all handmade soft toys can be enjoyed safely and have produced regulations containing tests that must be passed before any toy can be sold.
​
The Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011 No.1881 coupled with EN71-1 -3 ensure that the PSR are tested and proven before the awarding of the United Kingdom Conformity Assessment (UKCA) tag prior to toys being sold.

These tests cover Physical tests, Fire tests and Chemical checks to ensure the safety of your toy in the hands of children. For example, in the photo is an eye tension test which puts a load of 9.1kg on the eye to ensure it cannot be ripped out, here at Likkle Ickle Yarns, we did this test at 10kg to ensure we not only met but exceeded all the set standards.
You can be safe in the knowledge that any toy you buy from me has been fully tested, all compliance paperwork completed and wears the UKCA label with pride.
